Powered by spreadsheets and peppermint tea, Sarah is Executive Assistant to Sally Peart, wrangling her diary, inbox, and awe-inspiring to-do list, and working with the wider operations team to help keep the office wheels turning.

With a background in performing arts administration, she’s all about the juggling act, and never happier than when her work day is full of activity, variety, and a few knotty challenges. Having recently made the decision to head back to Dunedin after nearly two decades abroad, a move into the legal sector wasn’t on her radar: until a job advert from Marks & Worth Lawyers spoke her language so fluently she had no choice but to apply.

A fan of strong, funny female leads, both on screen and in life, her favourite fictional lawyers are Helen Tudor-Fisk and Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods, and while her line-up of dream dinner guests changes daily, the Aotearoa edition has to be Kim Hill, Sam Neill, and the Topp Twins — ideally out somewhere fancy, where the only thing she has to cook up is conversation.

She prefers flats to heels, sunsets to sunrises, and would take Manchester over London or Paris any day. Her happy place? Either atop a hill she’s just conquered or curled up with a Central Otago pinot noir and a cryptic crossword, plotting her next adventure.
