Launched Marks & Worth in 2011 (THE BEGINNING)

Inspired by the 1980s series The Paper Chase to study law, Sally has been in the legal profession since 1988! Family brought Sally back to Dunedin after 10 years working in Europe, wanted to have a meaningful career and to spend the quality whānau time that’s impossible in ‘Big Law’.

Sally relishes problem-solving and making a difference in people’s lives, whether resolving a tricky dispute by negotiation, or setting up a new business structure for success. Once taking the blame for a staff error with a multi-million cost to a previous employer, she encourages our team to always front-foot mistakes and resolve them together.

This morning person rises at 5.45am three days a week to hike the Peninsula with several friends (human and canine) and solve the world’s problems together. Weekdays she’ll often cycle to work with chihuahua Pedro on the back, while weekends are spent at the local farmers’ market, in the garden (building a block wall with her own concrete mixer) and hosting friends and family for dinner.
